Join the Massachusetts Fall Community 5K, a virtual fall running and walking event bringing together residents, families, and local businesses across Massachusetts for fitness, community connections, and a meaningful cause.
Whether you're in Boston, Waltham, Watertown, Newton, Worcester, or a nearby community, you're invited to participate in this 3.1-mile challenge at your own pace.
This year's event also encourages participants and supporters to help raise funds for Tap Cancer Out, a nonprofit organization supporting the fight against cancer.
How It Works
The Massachusetts Fall Community 5K is a virtual run and walk. You choose where and how to complete your 3.1 miles.
Run through your neighborhood, walk with friends and family, enjoy a local park or trail, or complete your miles on a treadmill. Whether you're an experienced runner or participating in your first 5K, everyone is welcome.
There's no required meeting location, official racecourse, or organized group start. Complete your 5K during the designated event period at your own pace.

Boston Common is an optional public starting location for participants who would like to complete their 5K in the Boston area. No organized gathering, marked course, or official timing will be provided at this location.
Participants can also complete their run or walk anywhere in Massachusetts or beyond.
Run for a Cause: Supporting Tap Cancer Out
We're bringing our Massachusetts communities together for more than just a run. The Massachusetts Fall Community 5K encourages participants, families, and local businesses to help make a positive impact by supporting Tap Cancer Out.
Tap Cancer Out is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that raises awareness and funds for cancer-fighting organizations. Through fundraising events, community involvement, and the support of donors, the organization helps direct resources toward the fight against cancer.
